The CLEO Group at Caltech
The CLEO experiment is located at the Cornell Electron-Positron Storage Ring (CESR)
of Wilson Lab in Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
The CLEO Collaboration consists of some 200 physicists from 22 institutions,
including Caltech.
The CLEO experiment studies particle interactions resulting from
electron-positron collisions at center of mass energies
near the Upsilon (bottomonium) resonances (10.6 GeV).
The Upsilon(4S) decays to pairs of B mesons, each containing
a heavy b quark.
The collisions are also a copious source of charmed mesons and baryons,
and also the heavy tau lepton.
